Why Run For Hope?
The TCS New York City Marathon is one of the most iconic races in the world. As an official Bronze Charity Partner, Hope Community Inc NYC has been awarded guaranteed race entries for the 2026 marathon.
2026 marks the 50th anniversary of the five-borough New York City Marathon course. To honor this milestone, New York Road Runners is introducing a $100 million charity fundraising goal for the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon.
By running with us, you’ll not only secure your spot in this world-class event, you’ll also help raise critical funds that support our programs and the people we serve right here in New York City.
ABOUT HOPE COMMUNITY
Hope Community is a nonprofit affordable housing organization founded in 1968. Hope Community is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for low- and moderate-income families in Harlem through the development, preservation, and management of affordable housing and community-focused commercial spaces. Through affordable housing, Hope provides safe, stable and quality homes for nearly 5,000 individuals in East Harlem.
Further, Hope supports local economic growth through the creation of preservation of affordable commercial spaces, provides financial literacy training and homeownership workshops. Hope integrates arts and culture in its projects, for example community gardens and Galeria Del Barrio which fosters pride, social cohesion and creative expression.
During the race, you’ll pass directly through the Hope Community neighborhood — the very place where families are building stable futures through safe, affordable housing. Your steps will move through the heart of the community you’re supporting, turning each stride into a symbol of hope.
RUNNER COMMITMENT & BENEFITS
Runners selected to join Team Hope will receive a guaranteed entry into the 2026 NYC Marathon in exchange for committing to a fundraising minimum.

Fundraising Minimum: $3,000 (Due in full by September 1, 2026)
Hope sign up fee: $125
NYRR race registration fee: Members: $255 | Non-Members: $315
