Maya Kurien
Vice Chair
Maya Kurien is currently Vice President of Advocacy at the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) where she is responsible for leading REBNY's complex coalition-based advocacy campaigns, including coordination between outside consultants and internal staff. Maya joined REBNY in September 2021 as Vice President of Policy and Planning.
Prior to joining REBNY, Maya served as Executive Director of Government Affairs for the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD). She has also served in professional staff roles at the NYC Office of Management and Budget, the New York State Senate, and the New York City Council. A native New Yorker, Maya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Anthropology and Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of London.
