Capital One Foundation Supports Hope Community, Inc.

Hope Community, Inc., with the support of Capital One Foundation, will be able to continue to preserve affordable housing in East Harlem while improving the quality of life for our more than 5,000 current residents during the 2010-2011 fiscal year. Funds from Capital One Foundation will assist in sustaining the capacity necessary to carry out our current developments including the ongoing construction monitoring for the Calvert-Lancaster and Lancaster Madison developments -- two mixed-income, mid-rise cooperative residential buildings in East Harlem -- and the Muscoota Project -- one of Hope's oldest residential developments, which will undergo renovations for the first time in almost 40 years.

In addition to providing funding support, Capital One has generously assisted Hope Community's Fiscal department by donating seven laptop computers dedicated to advancing the technological capacity of the Fiscal team.
